Share Time

I've got four more layouts to share with your today.
This first one is pretty self explanatory, our Grandson Christopher's 1st grade photo.  Added a little bling here and there and some sewing around the photo and ta da...done! :)

This next one is our son Andrew and my husband Marcus getting ready for Andrew's wedding to begin!!  Used an old Tim Holtz mask and some glimmer mist on a transparency to make the background.

Andrew and Jackie at their rehearsal dinner.  Aren't they a cute looking couple???  This entire layout was done using my cricut except for the piece of ribbon, and a few prima flowers.

And last but not least, the big day!  Kept it simple.

UmWow Studio June sketch

Over at UmWowStudio.blogspot.com there is a wonderful June sketch that I thought I would try because it is not my style and I love trying new things.  Here is the sketch:

and here is my version:

Didn't have any paper that matched the picture so I made my own border and strip under the picture.  Used some UmWowStudio layered arrows, a few bits and pieces from my stash and some thickers for the title.

Weekend of Scrap

This weekend I tried a little bit of everything on my layouts.  I purposely tried to switch things up and do something new/different on every layout.  (My idea here was to make every layout different...I think I NAILED IT.  ha ha)

This first one is a two pager with NO pictures, that was tough but I wanted to scrap about the horse races we went to and didn't take any photos.

This next one I did clean lines with some matting and a few CTMH stamps which I then colored and cutout for embellishments.

This is our Daughter-In-Law Jackie at her bridal shower.  Wanted to make this one pretty and lacey.  Don't get to do that too often and was afraid of going overboard with the flowers.

Did you notice the hinges on the layout?  I made it so the page would open up to reveal more pictures underneath.  Haven't done that on a page in ages!

This last one is our Grandson Tylier on his first day of 5th grade.  I tried the artsy fartsy messy approach.  Not really my style but fun to do every once in awhile when you feel like trying different things.

Grandsons Week

Did four layouts this week and all of them turned out to be about our Grandsons.  (Albeit the Granddaughters are outnumbered!).

This first one is of our oldest Grandson Mikey at one of his MANY baseball games.  He wanted me to take pictures of him swinging so he could look at them and check out his batting style so I decided to make a layout of him in action.  Didn't have any film strips that would fit my picture size so I had to make my own.  Those tiny little grey squares along the sides were a bugger but finally managed to get them all glued into place to perfect the look!

Next up is our Grandson Noah.  Got bored with watching his big brothers game so decided to invent his own!  Love his smile on this one.

Now on to our Grandson Christopher on his 6th birthday.  Had fun with this layout, just kept adding to it until it "looked" finished.  Love how the blue painted chevrons along the sides and top turned out.

Christopher again, riding his bike without training wheels for the first time.

Banner Day

Was in the "banner" mood this weekend.  Finished two layouts and both of them used banners.  The first one is a two page spread of all our goings on for the 4th of July BBQ we have every year.  I was afraid the banner would be too long and not look right but once I got it all glued down it turned out pretty good I think.

This next one is of the limbo pole we set up for the BBQ, which of course everyone had to try at least once during the festivities...except me, ha ha, I KNEW better!!

This Weeks Layouts

Pretty amazed at myself, got 5 layouts done this week.  Not sure if that is good or bad because it also means I had time during my work days to scrap so not alot of work to do.

The first one is of Mom and me at our annual Scrapbook Expo trip.  We always have tons of fun and actually get in some good "scrap together" time.

This is Snickers, we got him when he was a wee little puppy from a friend who breeds German Shephards for the California Border Patrol.  He was the best dog ever!!

The picture on this one is pretty blurry but it is the only one I had for this day so I decided to use it anyways.

Our youngest son Nick and all his friends at our yearly 4th of July BBQ.  It works out pretty good, all our friends and all our kids and their friends get together for fireworks and food (and the kids all cook, so all we have to do is enjoy the day!!)

A layout of our daughter Steffanie and her boyfriend Hector.  Everything on this one was cut out with the Cricut.
