Last two layouts for 2012

Yep, I did it, finished my scrapbooks for 2012!!  Now on to 2013...

I am proud to say that on this first layout other than the black cardstock for my base, I used only scraps from my scrap drawer!! Made a pocket with some cut squares, cut out a few stockings and made a title with the label maker, done.

This next one went in a totally different direction than planned.  I had out some bright cheery papers along with the yellow cardstock background but by the time I was finished with my misting and black ink pad it turned into a grungy layout.

Polaroid Layers

First I have to apologize for the shadowy picture, didn't realize it was there till I downloaded it and was too lazy to re-take it!!  I got the idea of using these little polaroid frames from Martha's blog so of course I had to use it.  The layout is totally different but the idea worked out pretty good.  Now that I really look, I think I threw everything at this layout, ha ha Hand Stitching, faux stitching, cuts with the cricut, tape, ribbon, buttons, pop dots, mini homemade banner, twine,  edge punch and of course, a picture!!

Share Time

I have two layouts to share today.  This first one was fast and simple but had a lot of fun making it.  This is our oldest Grandson Mikey (aka Machilla) styling his new sunglasses he got for Christmas.  Layered a couple pieces of patterned paper, thickers for a title and some bits and pieces from my "odds and ends" bucket.

This next one is photos from Christmas day.  Had a friend in mind and her "getting tired of all the layouts with a ton of white space and one tiny picture" comment.  Not a speck of white space can be found, ha ha.

Christmas Layout

Yep, you guessed it.  Most of you know I scrap chronologically and am now up to Christmas of 2012.  Wow, I am almost up to the year 2013 while still in 2013...I think I am about to faint!!!

This layout highlights all my helpers on Christmas Eve....yea, that's rights...none! ha ha  Now that the kids are all grown Christmas Eve pretty much goes like this.  Husband sits at the fireplace watching and Adolf lays beside me as I stuff the Christmas stockings hoping that he gets some misplaced candy!!  Used some CTMH stamps for the little Christmas ornaments, the red flower and the border along two of the pictures.  The cricut was used for the scalloped pieces, the journal spot I used as a background for the ornaments, and the title.  Other than that just some simple layering of paper.

UmWowStudio August Sketch and a few more

He everyone, I have three layouts to share.  This first one is yet another attempt at the monthly sketch over at
I think my layout turned out wayyyyy different than what I had in mind when I started but that is okay, I still like the way it turned out.  I used some layered butterflies from UmWowStudio, covered them with pearl paint from CTMH then sprayed three of the pieces with glimmer mist.  Our Grand Daughter Zoe took the picture at one of those photo booths at Chuck E. Cheese.

Two of our Grand Sons playing at Chuck E. Cheese!

The main reason we were all at Chuck E. Cheese in the first place...our Grand Daughter
