Layouts from Last Week

Well, I got four layouts done last week, all on the weekend, didn't get much scrappin done during the week.

This first one is our Daughter Steffanie preparing a new recipe for Thanksgiving.  Did a little stamping, added some embossing and a few scraps to finish it out.

This next one is a picture of the huge prime rib I prepared for Thanksgiving.  Used a lot more scraps, some flowers and my cricut for the title.  Not sure how all that patterned paper looks but it's done!

This is our Daughter again.  The only picture I took the day she turned 30 so had to scrap it!  Pretty simple but I like how it turned out!

And the last one is two of our Grandsons, Christopher and Matthew helping pick out the Christmas Tree.  Layered and inked some beige cardstock along the bottom to make it blend in with the background paper and cut a xmas tree with my cricut from the polka dot paper, cut it in half and layered it along the sides.  Was trying to get that 3-D effect...it kinda worked.

So far so good...

Still have all weekend to scrap and have 5 layouts to share from the past week....life is good!!

This first layout is from the July sketch from DeeDee over at www.unwowstudio.blogspot.com.  She posts one sketch every month and I love to try them out because it is definitely not my style (I have figured out that I prefer clean lines, photo mats and not so messy/artsy) but I LOVE playing "messy" every once in awhile so her sketches are my chance!

This one came together pretty easy, used some SEI Halloween papers from awhile ago.  Used a little clear gesso on the cardstock background for some texture and lately I am really loving the label maker.

Seems like I never use those pretty valentine papers I seem to get at least once a year so decided I would use some up here playing on me and my Mom's LOVE of scrapbooking.  The journaling is on a pull out card, that is why you can only read part of it.

I really like everything about this layout.  Saw a sketch on scrapbook.com and used it.  I cut the circle, tags and corners (which I used as arrows) from my cricut, added a few flowers and a couple pieces of washi tape.

Have I ever mentioned that I hate putting pictures on my layouts crooked?  That being said, I think this layout is an exception, ha ha.  Got the idea for this layout from somewhere while cruising the internet looking for inspiration.  Used that same SEI Halloween paper as the other Halloween layout previously, was trying to use it up but still have plenty left.
