So far so good...

Still have all weekend to scrap and have 5 layouts to share from the past week....life is good!!

This first layout is from the July sketch from DeeDee over at www.unwowstudio.blogspot.com.  She posts one sketch every month and I love to try them out because it is definitely not my style (I have figured out that I prefer clean lines, photo mats and not so messy/artsy) but I LOVE playing "messy" every once in awhile so her sketches are my chance!

This one came together pretty easy, used some SEI Halloween papers from awhile ago.  Used a little clear gesso on the cardstock background for some texture and lately I am really loving the label maker.

Seems like I never use those pretty valentine papers I seem to get at least once a year so decided I would use some up here playing on me and my Mom's LOVE of scrapbooking.  The journaling is on a pull out card, that is why you can only read part of it.

I really like everything about this layout.  Saw a sketch on scrapbook.com and used it.  I cut the circle, tags and corners (which I used as arrows) from my cricut, added a few flowers and a couple pieces of washi tape.

Have I ever mentioned that I hate putting pictures on my layouts crooked?  That being said, I think this layout is an exception, ha ha.  Got the idea for this layout from somewhere while cruising the internet looking for inspiration.  Used that same SEI Halloween paper as the other Halloween layout previously, was trying to use it up but still have plenty left.

  1. I'm not good at putting photos on a slant either... yeah for trying stuff out of your comfort zone.

I like the idea of using the valentines paper for a love affair ;)

  2. They all are good. The first one looks like it was a real challenge. I don't do messy but maybe someday I will have to try it. I really like the one of us I think it turned out really cool. With all the boys I don't get to use the pink & reds to often. Good job on all of them.
