A rare Mikey layout!

Now that our Grandson Mikey is 14 it seems like we hardly ever see him anymore so I knew when I took this picture it would be a great opportunity for a fun layout!

Scrap Layouts (Pun Intended)

Yep, here are two scrap layouts that are scrap related!!  They are both using the new Commit2Paper October kits.  Gotta love that!!  This first one is of me and my Mom scrappin at the Del Mar Expo earlier this year.
This next one I love, it is pics of my Mom shopping at the Expo.

One More

I actually got two layouts done this morning but one of them is for the scraplift over at OSU so I can only post this one.  Not sure if I like it or not but I struggled with it so at least it's done!!

A Few New Layouts

I got a few more layouts done this weekend but am just taking the time to post them today.  This first one was easy to put together but I liked how the completed layout looks.  It is of a bunch of us who went to the Super Bowl Party at the New York, New York Casino in Las Vegas this past February...what fun it was too!
This next one is our our Daughter-In-Law Denise's thirtieth birthday which we also celebrated in Vegas.  I scraplifted this layout from Kylie's "You are my Home" layout!!
This last one was a BOOGER!  I struggled with how to do every aspect of it.  I finally ended up using multiple colors of Glimmer Mist, a bunch of bling and even some Stickles!!!  Hard to create a layout that makes Chihuly's Art Glass remain amazing!

Yet another scraplift

I seem to be on a scraplift roll here lately.  This layout was put together compliments of my friend Val over at OSU of the layout she did of her daughter Danielle titled "You are gorgeous".  Sorry I haven't learned how to link things yet so you will just have to go check out her blog to see her original.  (I must say she does great layouts so they are fun to lift, thanks Val!!!)  This is our Grandson Christopher showing me that he can ride his scooter "Super Fast"!

Done with 2009

Thanks to my friend Kylie over at OSU I have finished my last two layouts for 2009.  You may wonder why I am thanking Kylie.....well I scraplifted both of these layouts from her!!  (Thanks Kylie)

This first one I lifted from her layout titled "Skating in the Park" (and I might add that I am not the only one who has scraplifted that layout!)  I switched it to a Christmas themed layout but other than that it looks very, very similar.

This next one is lifted from her layout titled "Sue".  The theme is totally different considering Kylie's is about a dinosaur and mine is of Santa coming but hey, loved how she used her border punches and I especially am thrilled with how cool it looks in person!

Use your stash challenge!

This layout is for another challenge over at OSU.  This time Kylie challenged us all to use up something in our stash we have been hoarding for awhile.  I proudly can say that I used up three packages of items for this layout of our Grandson Tylier.  1) a not to ancient package of blossoms from Sassafras  2) a pretty old package of 7 Gypsies photo turns and  3)an older than dirt package of Big Die-Cut Glossy Flowers from Scrapgoods.  Now if I did this challenge about 8609 more times I would have a very clean scrap room!!!!!

Another Scraplift and One Just Because!

I used the new C2P kit to do both of these layouts.  The first one is of the kids at the Superbowl party which I just so happened to scraplift from Valerie's "Father Daughter Day" layout.  I think hers is better but my lift turned out okay anyhow and I learned how to make the cool flower she did on her layout!!

On this next one I knew exactly what layout I wanted to do as soon as I saw this months new C2P kit.  I think it goes perfectly with the picture!!

Double Scraplift!

I used the new C2P kit to do this layout and scraplifted from two different people over at OSU!!  I got the basic layout idea from one of Valerie's layouts (sorry, can't remember the title of her layout but if you look thru her blog I am sure you will see the resemblance) and I scraplifted the circle flower idea from one of Kylie's layouts titled family!  They both do such great work I decided to copy both of them!!

OSU Scraplift Challenge

I posted a challenge on the borad over at OSU to go blog hopping and scraplift someone else's layout that you liked.  I went over to Joyce's blog and scraplifted her "Color Therapy" layout.  Even kept her theme going and scrapped about hair!!! LOL
In case you were wondering, I used the new Commit2Paper kit which just so happened to go with the color scheme of my pictures!

Tradition

Yep, another layout from Christmas 2009!  Only one more to go and last year will be finished....I think! LOL  This layout is of our daughter Steffanie and son Nicholas exchanging gifts on Christmas Eve, something they have been doing since they were very small.

Another layout using C2P kit

I got one more layout done using this month's Commit2Paper kit (that makes 5 total and still have product left)! I wanted to challenge myself and make a layout using this "marching ants" paper, it's pretty simple.

New C2P Layouts

Got the new Commit 2 Paper kit and got to scrappin!! I actually got four layouts done and still have a few more ideas rolling around in my head. This first one is our Grand Daughter Zoe drawing me some pictures with chalk on her back patio. (Got my layout inspiration from a Layout Kylie did over at OSU, I loved it so I scraplifted it, wonder if she'll find out, ha ha)
This next one was fun and messy, used some paint that didn't come in the kit.

This layout of our Grand Son Matthew came together so quick I couldn't believe it. Used the leftover circles from the rings I cut out for the above layout and ta da. I almost didn't scrap this picture because he wasn't smiling but then inspiration hit!!!

This is our Grand Son Mikey trying to play dance revolution. Was pretty funny to watch.

Yep, Another Christmas Layout!

Okay, I promise I only have two more layouts to go and I will be finished with layouts for Christmas of last year. Our oldest son Ken brought his family over on Christmas Eve this year to slow down the chaos on his family on Christmas day, it actually was a great idea and we all had a nice time together. I sewed like a maniac on this layout and to my disappointment, now that the layout is finished, the sewing doesn't show up as much as I would have liked it to (possibly should have used a different patterned paper) but anyhow, here it is:

Still working on Christmas

Okay, I know this layout doesn't look very Christmassy, but I didn't want it to. The kids were playing in the yard and it was a sunny, warm Christmas Eve and I wanted everything to match the pictures soooooo....no Christmas Paper! I like how it turned out though.

Another Christmas Layout

I love this picture of my Grandson Christopher so I didn't want to do too much with the layout that would take away from the picture.

In My Scrappy Room

Yes, it's true, I am finally back in my scrappy room!!! I have one two page layout to show off and hopefully will get a few more done this morning, will have to see how it goes!

This layout is of all our family members on Christmas morning. I got the idea of using a picture frame from a friend, Ryan, over at OSU.

Two more layouts before the End of the Month!!

I had my doubts about getting any more layouts done before May ended..... but alas, I finished two layouts this morning so I thought I would share them. This first one is of all of us sitting on the curb waiting for the Christmas Parade to start. This next one is of my hadsome hubby, I really like how this one turned out, not sure if it is the subject matter or the actual layout, ha ha!

Layouts Done at the Expo!

Mom and I just got home from our weekend away at the Scrapbook Expo in Del Mar, CA and what fun we had. We shopped, took 4 classes, attended two all day/night crops (Fri & Sat) and Mom actually won the Friday night crop grand prize.. a new Kodak Photo Printer, how cool is that??!!!! And then, Saturday she won the layout/home decor contest with a really cool box she decorated from the Twilight Series and received the new Epic die cut machine and alphabet dies from quick cuts. We had a really great time together and are looking forward to next year!!!

I got an entire FIVE LAYOUTS done while at the crops which is pretty good for me. Here they are:

A Few Cards

Thought I would show off a few cards I made for a card swap over at OSU. For someone who is just starting to get into card making, I really like how they turned out. I have gotten hooked on all the stamps and stuff from Close To My Heart and have found that I just don't use the stamps enough in my scrapbooking layouts so figured I better start making cards so I could "justify" buying all those cute stamps!!

This first card is one I came up with all on my own. Colored in the flower stamp with water color pencils and used diamond glaze to make the centers kind of "pop". I got the idea for this second card straight out of the CTMH catalogue. Stamped the flowers directly on the tag and then stamped them a second time on a seperate piece of card stock, cut them out and used pop dots for the 3-d effect.
This last card was a lift from a card that our CTMH Consultant Lisa made, I love it sooooo much that I had to make some. Pretty simple, punched from butterflies using a Martha Stewart punch, used stickles on the bodies and used a border punch along the bottom....easy peasy!!

Two More

Got two more layouts done from the new C2P kit. The first one is of our GS Noah when he was almost a year old climbing up the stairs! This next one is of our son Nick, he didn't want to smile for his picture because he was too busy trying to hide his braces!

Finally a few more Layouts!!

These are layouts that I actually finished last weekend, just didn't make time to download and post them. This first one I really like how it turned out, pictures are of myself, Steffanie and Brandi when we went shopping on Black Friday.
This one is using the new C2P kit. And because of a question of the day on OSU the other day, I used a CTMH stamp of a Christmas Tree, colored it in and cut it out. Like how that turned out.

Another LO using the new C2P kit. Couldn't find any recent pictures that went with the paper so I decided to start working backwords and pulled out the 2001 picture box. This is my Son and Husband in the process of rescuing a little baby bunny after our dog brought it in the house thinking she could play with him!! Awwwww..

Weekend Layouts

Got a few more layouts done this weekend. I can't post one of them because it is for the Scraplift over at OSU but here are the other two I got finished.

This first one is of our Grandson Noah's 9th Birthday (MAN THEY GROW UP FAST!!).
Used the December Kit (again...this makes six layouts from one kit) from Commit2Paper to do this layout of when DH and I went to see "A Christmas Carol". Didn't take any pictures so brochure and tickets had to do.

Productive Scrap Weekend

Here are a few layouts I got finished this weekend. Can't believe I got them all done and still have one more almost finished on my scrappy desk to complete!

Blue Embrace

Layout I did of our oldest son Ken and his band Blue Embrace performing at the KROQ's Halos and Horns festival in Orange County. Used one of the newer lines out by Close to My Heart. I had this layout in mind ever since I ordered it!

March C2P Layouts

Okay, so I got the new March kit from Amy over at Commit 2 Paper, and I have to say....IT ROCKS! Here are a few layouts I made:

This first one is of our Grandson driving his Power Wheel he got for Christmas around the church parking lot - he had a blast, can't you tell!! This layout is of our Daughter and Daughter-in-Laws. Thought it was a cool picture that went well with the paper. Here is one of all the boys...from left to right, Andrew (son), Chris (son), Ken (son), Marcus (husband), and Nick (son). And yes, my husbnd is the shortest of the bunch!!! This last one is of our Grandson Mikey. Our Daughter-in-Law Denise painted him up to look like a zombie. Pretty Good Job I would say!
