Getting Creative with Cattails

Loved these cattails the minute I saw them over at WWW.UmWowStudio.Com.  Wasn't quite sure how I would use them on a scrapbook page so I just decided to get crazy with a card front.  Let me see, I used glimmer mist, ink, 5 different stamps, glue pad, embossing powder (black, copper, green, red, blue) my sewing machine and even brown flock!!!

Took a close up to try and show how I made the actual "tail" part fuzzy with brown flocking.

5 New Ones!!

Since I actually got 5 layouts done and want to share, I will keep the commentary to a minimum so you can browse thru.  : )

Trying to get creative with lettering types in this title

I hated this one once I got started, disliked it more as I went along.  Added some flowers and ribbons and still pretty much think it stinks...but oh well, it's done, ha ha

Simple, easy and I like it.  Think I will forgo the artsy fartsy attempts and stick with the simple, easy, clean line look, seems to make me happy!

Was looking for an excuse to put a doily on a layout, finally found one.

This one came together really quick, was very easy and I like the looks of it, success all the way around, ha ha.

Totally different

I have a couple of layouts to share this week and they couldn't be more different.  Both are from pictures Easter week of last year.  You can definately tell my style goes from one directions to another from page to page but I guess that is my style....different, ha ha.

This first one is of three of our Grandkids coloring Easter Eggs.  I used three different stamp sets from CTMH, stamped both the bunnies, the basket, a bunch of eggs, the grass strips and the calendar page, colored them all in, cut them out then arranged them on the page.  Hated how this layout started out but I think it turned out okay in the end.

This next one is some family pictures I took on Easter Day.  After looking at the pictures the title of the layout just popped in my head...Wow, they have families of their own!!  These are pictures of our daughter and two of our sons with their families.

And here is just a few little close-ups of the cute Chipboard Banners from UmWowStudio I used on the page.

A few new ones

This first one is from 2001.  Yep, I ran out of current pictures to scrap (current as being 2012) so I dug out the box of pics from 2001 and did this layout.

Okay, so after getting some more pictures printed I did a few more layouts.  On this layout I used some of those layered chipboard clouds I got from UmWowStudio.com.

And....I actually did another two page layout (which as you may know I am not fond of doing, lol).  I couldn't figure out how to put these pictures on one page so a two pager was born!

3 New Layouts

Well, I got 3 more done this past weekend.  I like how they all turned out but I think my favorite is the "Time with Grams" one.  Not sure why but I think those colors just work for me.
