Lifted Layout and a card

While checking out the Frosted Designs blog I spotted a layout I just loved by Lori Apgar which you can see here:  http://frosteddesigns.blogspot.com/2013/09/mom-arrazi.html
I just knew I had to lift her layout....so I did!!  Not sure where she got all the bits she used on her layout but I did ALL of them on my Cricut.  What you think?

And with the scraps is my attempt at a couple of manly birthday cards.

Bunch of Cards and a Couple of Layouts

Guess What??  I finally did what I said I was going to do for a few years now...everytime I finish a layout I take whatever is left on my scrappy desk and try to make a few cards.  I have made five different sets and they are all completely different styles....kind of like my scrapbooking, ha ha

Not much to say about these except for I used popdots on every single card somehow because I just think they make the cards stand out a little more.  I also used my sizzix for embossing on the anniversary cards and after getting some advice from the girls over at OSU, it worked!!  Let me know what you think of them..

Now on to the layouts, this is our son Ken after a not so good game.  He is the coach of the High School baseball team and lets just say it wasn't a great game!!

This next one is of my husband and oldest son.  The picture just reminded me of how much the two of them are actually alike.

It was a good week!

I got 4 layouts done this week and they all turned out pretty good I think.

This first one is not my style but I actually think it is my favorite this week.  It just worked, ha ha.  This is our Grandson Mikey wearing the mustache I put in his birthday card.  :)

And here is Mikey at his birthday dinner

Two of our Granddaughters Zoe and Delilah playing hula-hoop in their backyard on Easter day.  I would say this layout was a great use of scraps behind the two pictures buuuttttt.....I cut up a whole sheet of paper because I like how it matched the pictures.

And last but not least a layout of my "new" used car.  Not sure why but I don't really like how this one turned out.  I think because it looked way different in my head than what it turned out to be.

Crankin 'em out!!

Do you believe it, I got three more layouts done this week.  I have to admit I still don't get as many done as Tara but she is just a machine.  :)

This first one is a letter I got in the mail from our Grand Daughter Zoe.  We don't live that far apart (only about and hour drive) but we like to send each other letters.  I love getting mail from her.  I copied her letter and shrunk it down so I could put the whole thing on the layout.  Her original is still in the envelope.

This is our Grand Son Matthew.  No matter where he starts out on the bed, he ALWAYS ends up in the crack between the mattresses or between his mattress and the wall, whichever is convenient.  Got the idea of hanging those little stars on the white threads from a wall decor layout that Kylie made awhile ago.

Had alot of scraps left from a old SEI pack that I wanted to use up so I put together this layout.  Used the only 12x12 paper I had left in the package for the base and the rest is scraps!!  Pretty simple layout but find that alot of times simple is good!!

Layout Share Time!!

Here are the layouts that I finished this week.  It's been very hot so I managed to get more scrapbooking done rather than go outdoors.

This first one is our Grand Daughter Zoe on her 9th birthday.  Everything on this layout was cut with my cricut using the CTMH cartridges.

This layout I challenged myself to use the CTMH stamp sets that have the matching cartridge to cut out with the cricut.  The arrows and notebook paper were completed that way.  (Even though I forgot about the matching sizes and made my notebook paper cut out bigger than the matching stamp so it turned our a little wonky!)

This two page layout I copied from the current CTMH catalogue.  (I think the layout I copied was done on their digital program but I don't use digital so this is my version).

And last but not least, a layout of our annual trip to the Super Bowl party at New York, New York Casino in Las Vegas. Used a CTMH stamp set for the title and row of embellishments along the bottom.  The top border I cut from the advertisement for the party.  (Did you notice that the top and bottom border strips are actually a collage of all our losing tickets from bets made on the Super Bowl?)
