Yep, I tried using all kinds of styles (clean & simple, straight & linear, messy, crooked, little embellishments, lots of embellishments, handwriting and typing, etc., you get the idea) I also used various layout designs: a few are what I came up with myself, some are from sketches I see while cruising the internet and I also used a page kit and a layout I made at the Scrapbook Expo probably 3 years ago but it was waiting for just the right pictures! I even used my cricut on almost every layout!!
This first one was soooooooo simple, the paper already came with the designed background like the swirls, words and birds on it, I simply added some dotted washi tape, cut out toothless, the tag and the tooth on my circuit and that was it.
This was the page made in a class at the Expo, it was a two page layout with the words FRIENDS on the opposite page, I didn't use that side (yet, lol) Added some journaling in the little squares and done!
This was a complete page kit from Quick Quotes, it was a two page spread but I only needed one page since I only had 2 pictures so the other half went back into my stash to be used at a later time. I added the title by cutting the word "fish" from a picture of the fish the boys caught.
Don't you just love when a layout idea just instantly "pops" into your head? That is what happened with this layout, I saw the wallpaper boarder in the picture and just knew that I wanted the entire page to resemble it. I love how the little tag cut out on my cricut turned out.
This layout challenged me!!!! I used a sketch I saw and tried to recreate it, ugh, it is so hard for me to do anything that is not straight!!!! I cut a bunch of strips of paper after I had the pictures laid out and just kept gluing them down, ha ha.
I like the simplicity of this layout, and I also am very happy that I found those little horses to cut out on my cricut, they fit the layout perfectly.
I really made a mess and had fun on this layout. I have to give credit to Tara, this is her blog:
http://kryptonite72-rambles.blogspot.com/2016/02/numbers.html for the idea on this one. She did a layout on her blog where she tried to use up some old numbers and when I saw it I thought "hmmmm, I have lots of leftover thicker numbers I need to use up", so I did!! Stuck down all my leftover numbers until I covered the entire page then covered it all with white gesso. Once it all dried I had a great messy time building my page.
And last but not least, this was also a page kit from quick quotes, it was intended to be a "travel" layout but I didn't use the title that came with the kit, I cut the title with my cricut, covered up the little tag that had travel tidbits on them with journaling and an embellishment and that was it.
